The New Everest Hotel at Rombuk (base camp) where we stayed is neither "new" nor a "hotel." There is no heat, there is no running water, there are no bathrooms, and most of the time there are no lights. But, on the bright side, there is a great yak dung burning stove in the restaurant adding a hint of spice to each meal.
